CHRISTIAN HELPLINE - FREE (UK), CONFIDENTIAL, OFFERING LISTENING AND PRAYER SUPPORT
New Kapporet operates and manages a national Christian helpline (Christian Helpline.UK).
At New Kapporet, privacy is at the core of all we do. We are committed to protecting the privacy of all those who come into contact with us, including our callers, our volunteers, our donors and our supporters. The purpose of this policy statement is to be clear and transparent about how New Kapporet may use any personal information provided.
New Kapporet is registered with the Charity Commission as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). We collect no personal information from our callers, unless they choose to give it to us for some form of follow-up. However, in order to follow up on calls, manage and co-ordinate our volunteers, process donations and engage with our supporters, we may collect, handle and store personal information. This may include, for example: name, address, email address, telephone number, credit/debit card details, together with some ‘sensitive personal information’, such as religious beliefs and details of criminal offences.
In the collection, handling and storing of such personal information, the following laws apply to all New Kapporet activities:
· The Data Protection Act 2018
· The General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679
· The Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.
As the service we provide develops and changes, we may need to amend this policy.
